Sleep. Breathe. Have fun.

November 2010

So it’s 2 am right now, and I still have to do some English reading, write some Spanish questions, and pack up for a retreat tomorrow.  I was expecting a good night’s sleep to prep me up for this awesome 4-day retreat.  But that didn’t work out well.  Planned to get home at 3:30, but ending up getting home at 6 because I had to go to a relative’shouse to make some insurance claim for an accident I got over the weekend.  No, it wasn’t my fault.  Sent the NDNU app, then worked on my San Jose State one.  That turned out like hell, since the pages kept on becoming unavailable due to many people using it.  So, I didn’t get to finish until like 11.  Then I started eating dinner and started homework.  And now my stomach feels all weird.  Seems like a pretty bad right?  Well, at least I now have a date to the Christmas dance :}  Anyways, 4-day retreat equals no facebook, no tumblr, no yahoosports.com/nba, no failblog, no iPod, no phone, no Internet.  See you all Friday afternoon!

A pet peeve

One of the biggest pet peeves I have during the winter is when people use “X-Mas” instead of “Christmas.”  It just tells me that they’re replacing Christ with an X.  And I just think it’s wrong when people do it.  Another thing that kinda bugs me is how people start setting up Christmas stuff like four weeks before Christmas Day, and then they take stuff down like within a week after Christmas.  It seems that many people enjoy the wait for Christmas more than the day itself.  Same thing with Christmas music this year, and how it began a couple days before Thanksgiving, and will probably be over after New Year’s.

So I’ve taken another look at my calendar, and there’s only:

  • 2 days until the 4-day retreat
  • 15 school days left for this semester (including finals)
  • 12 days until the Christmas date dance
  • 27 days until Christmas
  • 33 days until New Year’s
  • and only 7 more P.E. days :{

I so excited for the retreat, but I’m a bit worried that I’ll be so behind afterwards because finals are in two and a half weeks.

If Heaven was a mile away,
Would I pack up my bags and leave this world behind?
If Heaven was a mile away,
Or save it all for you?
If Heaven was a mile away,
Would I, fill the tank up with gas and be out the front door in a flash?

Does she have a better date this time?

Of course she does, and she’ll definitely have more fun.  At least, that’s how I see it.
